- The above Extended warranty can be purchased as per the aging table. Extended warranty will commence on the battery post completion of Standard warranty.
- T&C for Extended warranty parts coverage will be same as like OE warranty guidelines please refer owners/warranty manual.
- T&C for Extended warranty claim processing will be same as like OE Technical guidelines.
- Damage caused due to flooding , Rodent bites are not covered for HV battery.

Extended Warranty - What is Covered
- 1. Power system (high volt): 8 in one controller, PTC, CCS module
- 2. Suspension system: Shock absorber, wheel bearing (with hub), link rod, spring
- 3. Steering system: Steering rack, steering column, steering motor, universal joint (in column), EPAS module, steering sensor.
- 4. Front & rear drive system: Drive shaft (without boot damage), front & rear hub, front drive transmission assembly.
- 5. Air conditioning system: A/c compressor, condenser, blower motor, thermal expansion valve, evaporator, A/c pressure switch, A/c control switch, radiator fan, condenser fan, outside temperature sensor, A/c flap motor, recirculation motor, inside PTC heater, thermal management system (valve body control), all A/c pipelines (hoses), A/c drier unit.
- 6. Cooling system: Radiator, electric pump, heat exchanger, coolant auxiliary tank.
- 7. Electricals/module: Instrument cluster, left domain, right domain and rear domain controller, combination switch, GSS (gear shifting switch), control panel switches, rear controller, accelerator pedal, TPMS (Tyre pressure monitor system)
- 8. Electricals: Front and rear wiper motor, front and rear washer motor, front & rear camera, all door power window switch, power window winder motor, window regulator, head lamp sensor, steering wheel mounted switch, roof lamp assembly, door actuators, sunroof motor, sun blind motor, sunroom module, sunroof rack and channel assembly, tail gate.
- 9. Brake systems: Master cylinder tank assembly, ABS module (IBCM) assembly, front and rear calipers, disc, IPB(EPB) module, brake pedal lamp switch, wheel speed sensors, brake pedal, front millimeter radar, rear millimeter radar.
- 10. Multimedia system: Multimedia display monitor, multimedia module assembly, USB port (physical damage not covered), windshield module (MPC controller).
- 11. Charging systems: Charging port (CCS) assembly/All HV (high voltage lines/wiring).
- 12. Seats: Power seats mechanism only.
Extended Warranty - What is not Covered
- 1. Any loss or damage to OE components like lead acid battery, tyres & wheel rim.
- 2. PMS service, General repair Charges (Labor + Parts + Consumables) for any repairs not mentioned above, and not covered under schedule maintenance service, which are neither covered under the Company’s warranty nor this program.
- 3. Windshield and door or window glasses, paint, trim, weather strips, glass molds, rubber beadings and appearance items like bright finish material, decorative parts, decals etc.
- 4. Chrome Plated Parts like Emblems, Front Grill, BYD genuine accessories, Mirrors – Internal & External, Mirrors, Wind Shields, Backlit Glass and Window Glasses, Suspension Rubber Mounts, Weather Strips, All Interior Trim including Dashboard and Halogen Lamps (Headlight, Taillight & Fog light).
- 5. Wear and Tear Components like – Brake Pad, Brake liners. Consumables – Filters, Fuses, Wheel Alignment, Wheel Balancing, and remote key batteries, Wiper Blades, Axle boots, all type of Hoses, Ball joints EDrive mounts & any rubber parts, Drive & Accessory belts, Fuses & Filters are not covered. Bulbs (Except HID), fuses, fasteners, wiring harness (in case of tampering or rat bitten).
- 6. Swinging arm (not covered for bush cut), Link Rod (not covered for bush cut), Stabilizer bar (not covered for bush failure), & Power steering pressure pipes, hub assemblies. (Subjected to no external damage).
- 7. Routine maintenance service jobs, which includes cleaning, polishing, minor adjustment, AC Servicing.
- 8. Inconsequential aspects such as noises, vibrations, water ingress, moisture entry and sensations that could not lead to dismal product function or performance.
- 9. Sheet metal parts such as door shell, bonnet, condenser frame, sub frame, chassis frame fender, wheel arch, body shell etc.
- 10. Plastic or fibre parts such as door pads & trims, interior trim, dashboard, center console, body related parts, center grill.
- 11. Upholstery, carpets or floor covering, seats and seats covers, seat belt, etc.
- 12. Any loss or damage to the items, which are not part of the original Vehicle purchased from the Company.
- 13. Improper handling, dismantling, fitting, adjustment, repairs, modifications not approved by manufacturer and or use of Vehicle contrary to operator manual.
- 14. Any repairs or replacement arising from accident, collision damage, burglary, theft or any other accidental external means, riots, terrorism, malicious damage etc.
- 15. Legal liability for death or bodily injury or property damage is not covered.
- 16. Damage arising as a result of the Vehicle being used for any sort of competition, sport or rally, reliability trial.
- 17. Defect which is likely to have existed prior to the commencement of Extended warranty (which the Dealer/ Respective OEM will inform the Customer in writing while entering into this Extended warranty. The dealer/ Respective OEM will retain a copy of the same.
- 18. Damage directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from ionizing radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel or from any nuclear weapons material.
- 19. No warranty benefits shall be available in respect of any repairs & replacements occurring during the first 30 days from the date of issuance of extended warranty certificate.
Extended Warranty - Does not Cover any Modifications
- 1. Installing non-BYD components, or equipment (such as a non-BYD radio or speed control).
- 2. Using non-BYD approved fluids, materials, or additives.
- 3. Any part that was not on your vehicle when it left the manufacturing plant or is not certified for use on your vehicle, nor do they cover the costs of any repairs or adjustments that might be caused or needed because of the installation or use of non-BYD India components, equipment, materials, or additives, wiring for music system.
- 4. Performance or racing parts are considered to be non-BYD parts. Repairs or adjustments caused by their use are not covered under your warranties.
External & Environmental Factors
- 1. Extended warranty does not cover damage caused by factors such as airborne fallout, bird droppings, insect damage, chemicals, tree sap, salt, ocean spray, acid rain, hailstorms, windstorms, tornadoes, sandstorms, any act of god (such as Flood, earthquake or any other natural calamities), negligent or fraudulent, from chemicals, contamination, environmental damage, explosion, Thermal incident (damage due to fire directly or Indirectly or short circuit), lightning, road hazards, vandalism, windstorm etc., occasion through consequence of war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities or war like operations (declared or not), civil war, commotion, mutiny, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, conspiracy, military or usurped power.
- 2. Extended warranty does not cover conditions resulting from anything impacting the vehicle due to road hazards. This includes cracks and chips in glass, scratches and chips in painted surfaces, rusting, any type of paint defect, corrosion, or damage from collision.
- 3. Extended warranty does not cover the costs of repairing damage or conditions caused by racing, nor do they cover the repair of any defects that are found as the result of participating in a racing event.
